The combination of technologies employed in these plants means that they take up less space during transport and onsite and are easy to manage thus minimizing operational costs.
Projects incorporating the GREEN MBBR system can significantly reduce site works as the plants take up little space thanks to the Moving Bed Biological Reactor (MBBR) technology employed.
GREEN MBBR systems are ideal for use in large field camps for the treatment of civil waste water coming from ablution blocks or existing septic systems. In the event that the communities or camps served by these plants grow in size the plants’ modularity means that they can easily be extended.
AND HOW IT WORKSGREEN MBR systems are ideal for further purifying waste water that has passed through a septic system (such as the GREEN BIO) and each is customized according to the characteristics of the water to be treated. In general the treatment stages in the system include: pretreatment, denitrification and biological oxidation using Moving Bed Biological Reactor (MBBR) technology, sedimentation with lamella packs and disinfection of the treated water.
At the heart of the system is a MBBR process that combines activated sludge and biofilm technologies. Microorganisms grow on specially designed filling bodies which are kept in suspension and constant movement. Over time excess biomass detaches from the bodies and is removed.
GREEN MBBR systems are controlled through a dedicated control panel and can also be supplied with remote monitoring systems that send alerts to cell phones and allow for easy monitoring of key parameters on smartphones and computers.
