Conference center drinking water – Ethiopia

The Conference Centre in Addis Ababa combines architectural elegance with the very latest technology and, located in the heart of the Ethiopian capital it is an ideal venue for high level meetings and conferences.

Following an international tender, Euro Mec was awarded a contract for the supply, installation and commissioning of a water treatment plant capable of producing 5 m³/hour of drinking water from a bore hole in the Conference Center grounds.

The supplied water treatment plant uses reverse osmosis technology and includes the following treatment stages: pre‐chlorination system to prevent the growth of fouling organisms, sand filtration and activated carbon to render the water perfectly clear, then an antiscalant dosing system and reverse osmosis treatment to remove salts and unwanted minerals from the water.

The supply also included spare parts for two years and chemicals for one year. Euro Mec Water Group remains at the client’s disposal for the supply of additional spare parts , chemicals and consumables throughout the life of the system.

Euro Mec Water Group understands the importance of training local operators and involved then in the installation phase of the project and then also provided operation and maintenance training on the system.
